Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1550m)
After the arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will meet one of our airport representatives. You will be transferred to hotel by our private vehicle; then you will get the detail information about the trek. Afternoon you can enjoy the nightlife of Thamel.
Day 2: Kathmandu(1550m) to Syabru Besi (2581m)
Time Required:8 hours
The starting point of the trekking is Syabru best. We will take a drive of 8 hours from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi. You can enjoy the scenic banks of the Trishuli river with beautiful views of valleys, meadows rivers and mountains. Have a delightful Himalayan look and marvel at the unique lifestyle through the terraced fields and rural towns. You might also be sharing your bus ride with goats and chicken getting encountered with monkeys. After enjoying the lunch at Trisuli bazar, we will further proceed to Dhunce. From Dhunche we will head out to Syabru Besi.
Day 3: Syabru Besi (2581) to Lama Hotel (2470m)
Time Required:6 hours
From Syabru besi we will be heading towards the lama hotel. This is where the real trek begins. We will be passing through the woodlands crossing through the few suspension bridges.
The trail will take you across the Bhote Koshi river, which emanates from Tibet and get lies in the deep gorge. Climbing through the sub-tropical forests, you can enjoy the walk going through the oak, bird life, bamboo forests connecting to the trail from the Syabru. You can also catch the sights of a variety of wildlife ascending through uninhabited forests of wild boars, frisky langur monkeys, red pandas, Daphne and many more if fortune smiles on you.
Day 4: Lama Hotel (2470m) to Langtang Valley (3430m)
Time Required:6 to 7 hours
After breakfast, we will continue our ascent above the Langtang Khola. The steeper trail will provide you with one of the most exotic sights of Langtang lirung (7,246m) visible through the trees. The trail leaves across the lost meadows of the Gora Tabela – a Nepalese army post. With the easy climb, the valley grows wider opening to the broad valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages with water mills and prayers wheels. Before reaching the Langtang valley, there is a monastery for your delectation. You can also witness the flat-roofed Tibetan style houses surrounded by stone walls, and cultivated lands yielding buckwheat, potatoes, wheat etc.
Day 5: Langtang village (3430m) to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m)
Time Required:3 hours
Today will be a pretty short walking day. After breakfast, we will be crossing the huge Mani along a gentle path of a hill. The air might start to get thin due to the high revelations. Passing through a few small streams and moraines, the trail arrives at the settlement of kyangjin. The kyangjin Gompa is surrounded by the Himalayan all around; you can stroll around the Kyanjing Gompa appreciating the snow-covered peaks in every direction with dramatic and beautiful views. As the place is famous for cheese and curd, you can also go and sample some.
Day 6: Hike up to Tsergo Ri (4773m) and back to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m).
Time Required: 7 to 8 hours
This will be the exploration day. On this day we will be indulging in the natural beauty and serenity of Gompha area. You can also climb Tsergo Ri - known as Brana Chumbo behind the village providing you with the breathtaking a 360-degree view of the Langtang valley. You can explore the nearby monastery, snowcapped mountains relishing in a peaceful environment. After the exploration, we will follow the same trail back to the Kyanjin Ghompa and spend the night in the same hotel.
Day 7: Kyanjin Gompa (3870m) to Lama hotel (2470m)
Time Required:5 to 6 hours
The second last day of the trek. We will trek downhill to Lama hotel for about 6 hours. We will be passing through the beautiful green forests and ethnic Tamang settlements who strictly follow the religious and cultural practices similar to that of the Tibetans.
Day 8: Lama Hotel(2470m) to Syabru Besi (2581m)
Time Required:6 to 7 hours
Taking our footstep back through the bamboo and rhododendron forest we will be reaching Syabru besi after 4-5 hours. You can enjoy the simple downhill trail through lush green vegetation. If you have some spare time, you can enjoy the stunning view of this bizarre hill-town. Enjoy your last dinner with your guide and porters at night.
Day 9: Syabru Besi (2581m) to Kathmandu (1550m)
Time Required:8 to 9 hours
After the hearty breakfast, we start our journey back to Kathmandu. Arriving in the Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. Take the must deserved rest and you can enjoy the evening by travelling around the tourist spots in the capital city.
Day 10: Farewell
Time to say goodbye to the beautiful Himalayan nation. With the beautiful memories if Langtang trek we will share the goodbye and wish you the safe flight back home.
