Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m).
After you land our one of the representative will receive you at the TIA and drive to your respective hotels. Then you will get the detail information about the trek. In the evening you can enjoy the nightlife of Thamel.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2,804 m) and Trek to Phakding (2,610 m)
Trekking durations: 3 hours
In day two we will take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Tenzing Hillary airport at Lukla. You will be introduced with the guide, team members and porters.
You will be walking in a trail that gradually descends to cheplung village. From there you will get a glimpse of a sacred mountain, Mt. Khumbila. from there you will gradually descend until we reach Phakding. The second-day treks will be up to phakding.
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m)
Trekking durations: 5.5 hours
This is the start of your trek as you will walk on a trail that gradually descends to Cheplung village. From here, you will get a glimpse of Mt. Khumbila, a sacred mountain. The phadking to Namche Bazar is a joyous place that meanders through pine forests, crossing suspension bridges and several Sherpa villages to jorsale. The temperate to subalpine forest style will give a different perspective and feeling. You will encounter the iconic moment while crossing the larphen bridge which has been featured in the Hollywood blockbuster movie the Everest as well. With the confluence of the bhote koshi and dudh koshi river, we will be steadily climbing the high Tenzing-Hillary suspension bridge with inspiring glimpses of Everest and Nuptse-Lhotse ridge.
Further, you will ascend on a steep trail and reach Namche Bazaar.
Day 04: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day
The Namche bazar is probably the highest situated town in the world. At day four we will spend the day in Namche Bazar to acclimatize and adjusting with the thinning air. You can explore the cyber cafés, delicious restraints foods and bakeries and colorful markets. You can also take the short distance hike to the Sagarmatha National park and enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayas including the Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and so on.
Moreover, you can also visit the monastery and Hillary school which house yeti scalp in the Khumjung village.
Day 05: Trek to Tengboche (3,860 m)
Trekking durations: 5 hours
In day five, we will be heading towards Tengboche the spiritual town with the sacred monastery and Mt amandablam in the backdrop. You can encounter with the hillside offering with the magnificent views filled with Himalayan tahr and birds including colorful males and Daphne pheasant. Upon reaching the Tengboche, you will visit the Tengboche monastery full of murals, thankas, a 20 foot Buddha sculpture, musical instruments and robes of the lamas. You can also witness the prayer ceremony either in the evening or in the morning depending on trekking.
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4,350 m)
Trekking durations: 5 hours.
The trail from Tengboche descends to Dingboche - a scattered stone village with nunnery, chores and long mani walls. You will be crossing another exciting suspension bridge on Imja Khola and ascend to Pangboche with a closer view of towering clothes, Island Peak and Ama Dablam. The trail continues to follow the river as it rises to its confluence with Lobuche Khola continuing to Dingboche.
Day 07: Acclimatization Hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083 m)
Trekking durations: 4 hours.
Day seven will be another acclimatization day. On this day we will be taking a hike to Nangkartshang peak just above the Dingboche. The summit offers you with the excellent views of Makalu(8,463m) and a superb viewpoint of gorgeous Ama Dablam. During the afternoon you can spend the time strolling around the village.
Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m)
Trekking durations: 5 hours.
In the 8th day, the trail climbs to a ridge and views of Taboche and Cholatse continued through yak pastures to a wooden bridge and Duglha. Then the trail continues along the lateral moraine of Khumbu Glacier. You will also pass by the large group of stone-pile memorials to lost Sherpa’s and climbers. You will also be offered with great border views including khumbutse, Lingtren and Pumori.
The sight of the mountain gets closer and more significant. Take some good rest as some breathing problem may arise due to the altitude.
Day 09: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,365 m) - Gorak Shep (5,180 m)
Trekking durations: 8 hours.
Day nine will be the day where we will reach our final destination. We will follow the windblown rocky path along the barren Khumbu moraine to the last village at Gorak Shep.
After an early launch, we will set out on the trail to the world highest base camp on the Khumbu Glacier – opposite to the dreaded icefall- most dangerous section of an Everest ascent.
During the spring you can witness many trekking teams attempting the submit. You can get the detail insights view of Khumbu icefall and glacier for the base camp.
You can take as many pictures as possible in the base camp of world tallest mountain Mt. Everest enjoying the spectacular view.
Day 10: Hike Up to Kala Patthar (5,555 m) - Pheriche (4,200 m)
Trekking durations: 7 hours.
After visiting the Everest base camp, the visitor will be spending the overnight at Gorakshep. In day ten early in the morning, we will be hiking to Kala Patthar(5545m). You can witness the rays of kissing the tip of mighty mountains.
Day 11: Trek to Tengboche (3,860 m)
Trekking durations: 3 hours.
On the day eleven, we will say goodbye to the Everest base camp and trek back to Tengboche once again.
Day 12: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m)
Trekking durations: 4 hours.
Following the up and down trails, we will return to Namche Bazar. You can take a hot bath and rest from the tiring days of the trek in Namche bazar lodge.
Day 13: Trek to Lukla (2,804 m)
Trekking durations: 6 hours.
In 13th day, after breakfast, we will trek back towards the Hillary Suspension Bridge and then pass through several local villages. We will round off the adventure say goodbye to our porters.
Day 14: Morning Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
Taking the early morning flights, we will return to Kathmandu with the memory and views of mountains. Our staff will transfer you back to respective hotels, and you can rest the day free at leisure.
Day 15: Farewell
It will be the last day in amazing Nepal, with the beautiful experience and fond memories of Everest base camp trekking we will share goodbye and wish you the safe flight back home.
With this, we will come to the end of 15 days Everest base camp trek.
